Port of Palm Beach – Slip 3 Expansion

Project Description

Slip 3 Redevelopment: Engenuity Group provided paving, grading and drainage design, as well as construction phase services for the redevelopment of Slip 3. This project improved the existing infrastructure of Slip #3 and included the addition of two ro/ro ramps, a new bulkhead, and various utility and drainage improvements. The existing drainage system in the area was outdated and did not provide water quality treatment prior to discharging into the Lake Worth Lagoon. An exfiltration trench water quality treatment system was provided for the project area, which exceeds the required stormwater quality treatment requirements.   Engenuity Group was part of the AECOM team for this project which was completed in 2015.

Berth 17 Redevelopment: Engenuity Group provided paving, grading and drainage design, as well as construction phase services on the redevelopment of Berth 17 project. This project includes improvements to the adjacent upland drainage system, utilities, and existing tenant loading/unloading facilities. Also, a new slip was constructed allowing for the stern-in mooring of a 350-foot vessel conducting ro/ro operations. This project allows for new business at the site without interrupting the sugar operation located on the south side of Slip 3.The existing drainage system in the area was outdated and did not provide water quality treatment prior to discharging into the Lake Worth Lagoon. An exfiltration trench water quality treatment system was provided for the project area, which exceeds the required stormwater quality treatment requirements.   Engenuity Group was part of the AECOM team for this project which was completed in 2019.
